The northeastern 40 acres of the park is State Natural Area #51, Waupun Park Maple Forest, with hiking and skiing trails. It is an excellent example of a southern mesic hardwood forest, with red and white oak, maple, and white ash.

The park contains a wooded 42 unit public campground, with electrical hookups, restrooms, and showers. Other facilities include playground equipment, two open-air picnic shelters, one enclosed shelter, and disc golf. There is also a swimming facility operated by the City of Waupun on property adjacent to the county park.

For reservations cancelled at least 7 days prior to first night of reservation: All camping fees will be refunded in the form of a coupon code to be used at a future camping visit at either Columbia Park or Waupun Park for the same year or next calendar year. The reservation fee is non-refundable. New reservations will be subject to an additional reservation fee.

For reservations cancelled within 4-6 days of first night of reservation: The camping fee for the first night of the reservation will be forfeited. Any camping fees for subsequent nights will be refunded in the form of a coupon code to be used at a future camping visit at either Columbia Park or Waupun Park for the same year or next calendar year. The reservation fee is non-refundable. New reservations will be subject to an additional reservation fee.

Reservations cancelled 3 days or less before check-in will result in a forfeiture of all camping and reservation fees.
